Why are we championing a plan for Perth?
The 2050 Summit is the next step in a journey that began over a decade ago. Since 2012, the Committee for Perth has championed the need for a long-term, people-centred plan for our growing region. Developed in conjunction with SciTech, the Perth 2050 Report revealed that only 22% of Perth people believe we are prepared for the future. How will we adapt to a 50% increase in population without forward planning?
While there are plans that look at how the region will manage land use and infrastructure as Perth grows, what is still missing is a big-picture, shared vision that puts people and community at the heart of how we want to live, work, connect and thrive in the future.
The 2050 Summit is your opportunity to change that. With just 8,837 days until 2050, be part of the conversation that future generations will thank us for.
